In 1978, I received my first camera as a college graduation gift, a Canon AT-1 and the journey began. Since then, the camera models have changed, as has the technology, but my passion for capturing images has continued to grow. I make my home near Annapolis, Maryland, and the Chesapeake Bay, with its extensive shorelines, is often my photography playground. Alarms going off at O'Dark Thirty are commonplace for me; as I love to be out capturing images at first light. I try finding the beauty in unusual places and subjects; whether it's photographing a pristine flower up close using macro lenses or an old dilapidated workboat scuttled in a marsh. I want people to feel like they are standing in my shoes, seeing what drew me to the shot. I hope my images tell stories and evoke the viewer to ask questions about my photos and perhaps inspire them to explore the road less traveled.
My works have been exhibited in many venues around Annapolis. I have had several solo exhibits at Sotheby's International Realty in Severna Park, MD. My images have been featured in numerous maritime magazines including MarinaLife and Chesapeake Bay Magazine.
