While the first wheel is thought to have been invented circa 3500 B.C., it wasn't used for transportation but rather for a more efficient production of pottery. Today, wheels are the foundations of most forms of transportation from trains, planes, bikes and autos. Like most things I choose to photograph, the older the better. I have found great subjects at museums, car shows, junk yards and sometimes along the back roads I travel.
