A waterman's identity can be associated with a medley of colors painted on buoys they attach to their crab and lobster pots. Storms, boat props and worn lines tear these floats away from time to time, only to wash ashore and become colorful collectibles. I am guilty of having my own small ensemble of weathered and textured buoys that I have found in my coastal adventures.
